Back in my younger days, I was on this quest, you know? I thought I was finding what I needed through other people. But, man, was I off the mark! Every time I’d walk away from those relationships or whatever you wanna call them, feeling totally empty. Like I didn’t matter, like I’d been used. I realized it wasn’t about them—it was about me chasing after the wrong things in all the wrong ways. See, the problem wasn’t with them, it was I was missing something crucial: values and morals. I was just floating along, following whoever seemed to have it together, instead of figuring out what I truly believed in.

Beliefs:

Beliefs are like the filters through which we see the world, shaping how we think, act, and feel. They’re these ideas we hold onto, even if there’s no real proof behind them. Think of them as the software running in the background of your mind, influencing every decision you make without you even realizing it.

Whether it’s that little voice saying you’re not good enough or the idea that success is reserved for a select few, these limited beliefs have a huge impact on our lives. They dictate the choices we make, the relationships we form, and the paths we take.

So, take a moment to reflect on your daily routine. Notice those little thoughts that pop up—the ones that tell you what you can or can’t do, what’s possible or impossible. Those are your beliefs at work, shaping your world in ways you might not even be aware of.

Core Values:

Okay, so let’s talk about core values. These are like the DNA of our thoughts, the backbone of how we understand, decide, and act in different areas of our lives. They’re basically our personal code of conduct, the rules we live by that drive everything we do.

Think about it: your values are what guide you through life. They’re the reason you do the things you do, the way you do them. They shape your attitudes, your behaviors, and even how you make decisions.

So, when you’re faced with a tough situation or a big decision, your values are like your compass. They help you navigate through the chaos, giving you a solid foundation to stand on and figure things out.

Story Time”

“Back in the day, I was all about letting other people call the shots for me. I mean, I thought they knew what was best, right? Turns out, I was totally out of sync with my own CORE VALUES. If I had been in tune with what really mattered to me, I could’ve made decisions that felt right from the get-go.

But nope, I didn’t do that. And let me tell you, it led me straight into some seriously awkward situations that didn’t vibe with who I am or what I stand for. Now that I’ve got some hindsight, I can see how not being true to myself played a huge role in all that discomfort. It’s like, duh, why didn’t I see it sooner?”

How To Align Your Core Values to who you are as person:

Bringing your core values into alignment with your true essence amidst life’s distractions is akin to discovering your authentic self. It starts with some serious self-reflection, digging deep to uncover what really matters to you. Take a step back from the noise of everyday life, close your eyes, and ask yourself: What do I stand for? What gets me fired up? What makes me feel fulfilled?

Once you’ve got a handle on your values, it’s all about living them out loud. Don’t just talk the talk—walk the walk. Let your actions speak volumes about who you are and what you believe in. Whether it’s standing up for what’s right, lending a helping hand to those in need, or chasing your wildest dreams, let your values be your guide as you navigate the twists and turns of life. It won’t always be easy, but staying true to yourself is the ultimate key to happiness and fulfillment.

How to align your core values and your beliefs:

Aligning your core values with your beliefs is like making sure all the pieces of a puzzle fit together just right. First, take a look at what’s important to you—your core values are like the big ideas that guide how you want to live your life. Then, think about what you believe in—these are like the little thoughts and ideas that make up your beliefs. When your core values and beliefs match up, it’s like finding the missing piece of the puzzle that makes everything make sense.

To align them, start by asking yourself questions like, “What do I think is right or wrong?” or “What do I care about the most?” Then, compare your answers to what you believe in. If they don’t quite match up, that’s okay! It’s all about figuring out how to adjust your beliefs so they line up with what’s truly important to you. As you grow and learn, you might find that your values and beliefs change—and that’s totally normal. Just keep checking in with yourself and making adjustments along the way.

Flourishing:

Once you’ve synced up your beliefs and core values, it’s like finally finding your groove on the dance floor of life. You’re no longer stumbling over your own two feet, but instead, you’re moving with purpose and confidence. With every step you take, you’re living authentically, staying true to who you are and what you stand for. And let me tell you, that’s where the beautiful things are experienced

When your beliefs and core values are in harmony, you’re unstoppable. You’re like a plant soaking up the sun, thriving and flourishing in your own unique way. You attract positivity, opportunities, and genuine connections because you’re radiating authenticity. So keep on growing to the beat of your own values and beliefs, as that’s how flourishing is truly achieved in this beautiful world.
